2015 was another busy year for The Tipple Taxi. As well as attending a number of private events and weddings we had several public appearances.

Our first public appearance was at the Blenheim Palace Food Festival in May serving cocktails and popcorn. In June we had a photo booth outside The East Village Bar in Leeds for their end of (student) year party and then once again returned to Eden Festival in Scotland for the 3rd year in a row. Serving delicious margaritas and daiquiris and hot buttered rums when it turned chilly and getting an awesome roster of DJs to sign up and play at our DJ booth and keep the party at The Tipple Taxi.

In July we returned to London to serve refreshments at an evening concert at Guildhall Yard and continued in the South in August with a photo booth at Forgotten Fields Festival and a photo booth at a beautiful wedding at Folly Farm near Bristol. August was completed with another food festival at Wimbledon Park with a free photo booth and cocktail bar.

In the midst of preparing for our biggest pop-up yet, we had a quick visit to the Ilkley Teepee Wedding Fair in October and a surprise feature in the Guardian newspaper.

November saw in the 29th Leeds International Film Festival with The Tipple Taxi as welcome centre, cafe and bar and of course mini-cinema in Leeds’ Trinity Centre. Short films were shown in the back of the taxi and coffee, sandwiches, cakes, popcorn and cocktails were served at our cafe. We purpose-built a new portable bar and invested in a coffee machine for the festival and so are now very pleased to be able to offer these and barista services for hire for private events.  The Tipple Taxi cinema was a highlight of the festival and especially popular on the weekends with Trinity Centre shoppers.

With little time to rest after two and a half weeks in the Trinity, at the start of December, we headed down to London’s Islington Square for more coffee and popcorn and a photo booth in our taxi for our last public outing in 2015.

The final days of the year saw heavy rains overflow the rivers near our home in Leeds and, while The Tipple Taxi wasn’t affected, many local businesses have been. An incredible support network has risen from the damp and we’re proud to be a part of it in any way we can.

We hope 2016 will bring continued success and brighter weather and we’re taking bookings now for dates throughout 2016 and 2017.
